Socks For a Smile: Stars and Stripes

Top, American Apparel; skirt, H&M; socks, K Bell; shoes, Zoe & Zac for Payless

With Memorial Day next week and Independence Day just a little over a month away, it’s time to break out the patriotic accessories! Lady Gaga recently showcased her love of stars and stripes with a Wonder Woman-esque costume in her “Telephone” video (seen in first photo above). Although Lady Gaga looks fabulously clothed head-to-toe in the American flag, a pair of socks can make a simple look pop (let’s face it, not all of us are Lady Gaga!). Our K Bell American flag socks look great with an edgier look, too: wear them with flat ankle boots, fishnets, and a white (or red, if you’re feeling bold) solid dress.

As with the camouflage socks, purchasing these American flag socks is a guaranteed donated pair to New Directions, a Los Angeles-based non-profit group that provides comprehensive services to thousands of veterans. Additionally, we will donate a pair every time we receive a “Like” on our Facebook page and every new Twitter follower.

Patriotic and fashionable, buying a pair of these American flag socks directly helps men and women who have served our country. Act quickly — the campaign ends this Sunday, May 30th.

Socks For a Smile: Camouflage

Top, band tee (Kill Hannah); shorts, vintage Forever 21; socks, K Bell; boots, Alice + Olivia for Payless

What we love most about summer is the freedom to experiment and wear funky prints — more specifically, camouflage! While camouflage may not be something new, the traditional military design has made quite the splash around town lately. Most notably, R&B singer Rihanna has taken to outright adopting a military theme for her videos and the costume design for her current tour. Camouflage doesn’t have to be masculine: pair these K Bell socks with some flats, a pleated skirt, and a ruffled beige or mint top.

Best of all, after you snatch up these K Bell camouflage socks from our site, we will donate a pair to New Directions, a non-profit group that provides comprehensive services to veterans. Additionally, we will donate a pair every time we receive a “Like” on our Facebook page and every new Twitter follower.

Stylish socks for a good cause — who can beat that? Purchase them soon — the campaign ends this Sunday, May 30th.
